This feature class contains the Illinois State Senate Election Districts within DuPage County, Illinois. State legislative districts (SLDs) are the areas from which members are elected to state legislatures. The SLDs embody the upper (senate) and lower (house) chambers of the state legislature. The data is dervived from the 2000 census. SLDs are provided to the Census Bureau as part of the Redistricting Data Program. Participation by the states is optional; not all states provided their SLDs for 2000. |
